OLD SOL ✺ NEW TRICKS

OSNT is a brand I developed years ago to encapsulate all my art endeavors. The name encourages a balance between tradition and innovation. It also speaks to the importance of constant willingness to learn. While tattooing has been the backbone of OSNT, it has and will continue to involve graphic design, merchandise and community events.

✺ TATTOOING ✺

My work and I have been based in many places over the years, but we are officially planting roots in San Diego, CA! The past two years, I was focused on exploring Australia as a possible home and learning the art of film as well as flying helicopters. My step away from tattooing was an intentional step towards better mental and physical health. I’ve returned to California with a renewed appreciation for home, community and the healing nature of tattooing. You’ll find me at EL CAMINO TATTOO Shop in Encinitas, California.

Depending where in the world we meet, I introduce myself differently. Because I spent so much of the last decade living in Mexico, I have strong ties to the language and my far away friends there. They call me Cata, but you can call me whichever you prefer. Latin American culture is woven into every part of my life, including the Old Sol ✺ New Tricks brand.
