OLD SOL ✺ NEW TRICKS

When I created OSNT I knew it would allow me to share my art in many ways. It’s a brand that embodies the idea of respecting and admiring traditions, while being open minded to advancements and experimentation. For the past few years it was primarily a platform for me to share my tattooing. I sort of ‘became’ the brand, but I am not OSNT. So we are going through somewhat of a re-branding… or better yet ~ an un-branding. It’s meant to be more of a project anyway.

I always envisioned it involving more collaborations, community, events and various mediums. I want this project to exist in an environmentally sound & intentional way. Online shopping, mass production and social media are just a few of the things I’m having a good hard think about. I’m starting Sustainable Fashion school here in Melbourne next year and we’ll see how that influences Old Sol New Tricks. I already know that after the things in the current online shop sell, they will not be available again so get your og merch now before it’s gone!

Depending where in the world we meet, I introduce myself differently. Because I spent so much of the last decade living in Mexico, I have strong ties to the language and my far away friends there. They call me Cata, but you can call me whichever you prefer. Latin American culture is woven into every part of my life, including the Old Sol New Tricks brand.
